One More Day!

Tomorrow's the big day! Tomorrow morning everyone gets to find out whether I am a boy or a girl!!! I'll be sure to have Daddy let you know just as soon as possible!

19 Weeks

Hi Everyone!

If you are reading this before Friday evening, you aren't seeing a picture of Mommy. That's because silly Daddy left the camera at work, so he couldn't take a picture of her this morning. BUT...I'll have him post one tonight, because Mommy is getting bigger and bigger! It's great...Daddy gets the biggest kick out of it...he teases Mommy about carting around that belly more carefully so it doesn't knock things over! :) But it's also comforting for Mommy, because it's easier for her to believe that I am in here. Anyway, I'll have Daddy post the picture tonight.

Speaking of pictures and believing that I am in here, the big photo shoot is four days away!!! On Tuesday, Mommy and I go in for our appointment to find out whether I am a boy or a girl!!! Daddy and Mommy seriously cannot wait...it's almost enough for them to want to skip the weekend...almost!

As you can see, it's getting tight in here. I am six inches tall not counting my legs, which I have to curl up to fit in here. Counting them, I'm getting close to a foot tall! For those of you praying for me, there's a lot to pray for right now. My brain is developing very fast these days, and is currently learning how to use my senses. This will help me see, smell, hear, feel and taste, so that's pretty important.

Any day now, Mommy should be able to feel me in here. I'm trying to kick hard enough that she can feel me, but so far she's not sure she's felt anything that is me. That will change soon.

OK, Daddy has to wrap up for now. I'll remind him to put a picture of Mommy up tonight. AND, can't wait to let you all know if I am a boy or a girl on Tuesday!!! Be sure to check back.

18 Weeks Old...and 11 Days until my Picture is Taken!!!!

Hey everyone!!! I sure am getting big in here, and as you can see, Mommy is starting to get bigger too! I'm 18 weeks old today and growing like a weed. Mommy said she could really feel me getting bigger this week...in fact, she's pretty sure she's feeling me moving around a little too, which is pretty cool! I'm now 5 1/2 inches long and weigh about 7 ounces. Take a look at how I look now(http://www.babycenter.com/fetal-development-images-18-weeks)!

The big news in my world is that it's only 11 days until I get my picture taken and all of you get to find out if I am a boy or a girl!!! Mommy and Daddy literally can't wait to find out! It's more exciting to them than looking forward to a birthday or vacation or anything. It will be so much fun for all of you to be able to talk about me using "him" or "her" instead of "it." :)

As you might expect, Daddy made Mommy and me watch March Madness with him last night. Well, actually, I could only listen to it (Daddy was yelling for Belmont to beat Duke), and eventually I decided to just take a nap with Mommy. Daddy couldn't believe we weren't riveted like he was, but hey, this pregnancy thing really wears Mommy and me out!

Anyway, I'll talk to you guys next Friday...by then it will be only 4 days until my picture!!!

Doctor Appointment, HDTV and the NBA

Well, it's been a very big week in my world! There is lots going on and I want to tell you all about it! However, first an update on how big I am. I am now five inches tall and weigh more than five ounces. It's kind of hard to believe that I am this big and still don't make too much of a bump in Mommy's tummy. The doctor said that it's because Mommy is so tall and there is so much room in here. Hey, it works for me...I get to swim laps! Also, big news...I can hear!!! This is a very cool new skill that I am discovering...now I can actually hear things like Daddy and Mommy praying for me, Mommy playing the violin, and Daddy's sports on TV (more on that later). While I think I've always been able to hear things in my spirit, it's great fun to actually hear them for real! Daddy and Mommy are trying to make a point of talking to me a lot these days. OK, on to more news. Mommy and I had another doctor appointment yesterday. It went great! My heart rate is still 156 bpm...the doc said that is perfect. Everything else checked out good as well. The next big doctor event is in 18 days when I get my next picture taken! ONLY 18 DAYS UNTIL YOU ALL KNOW IF I AM A BOY OR A GIRL!!!

Mommy and I have had a VERY busy week. On top of what I already told you, we've also had a lot of basketball related activities. First, we went to Orlando with Mommy's work and did an event at the Orlando Magic game. Daddy was very jealous. I tried to get Mommy to go meet Dwight Howard, but she wasn't as impressed with him as I was. Then, today, Mommy has a meeting with Antawn Jamison. For those of you don't know, Antawn is a famous basketball player. Daddy isn't sure if I'm a boy or a girl, but he is pretty confident that my basketball training has gotten off to a good start this week.

Also, Daddy's been watching lots of sports in HD these days. I can't wait to be able to see what he is talking about because Mommy says he practically drools while he watches. Mommy thinks it's a bit weird that he's so fascinated with being able to see the drops of sweat on the players...she doesn't think it's nearly as big of a deal as he does...but I can't wait for Daddy to be able to hold me so I can judge for myself. In the meantime, Daddy is thinking about playing hooky from work next Thursday and Friday to watch wall-to-wall March Madness in HD. Daddy's silly.

OK, well, Daddy says he needs to go now. As you can see, I'm staying pretty busy these days. There's actually lots more going on too, but I'll stop here for now. I love you all and can't wait to see you.

16 Weeks

Hi everybody! Daddy only has a few minutes this morning, so I have to keep this short, but I wanted to let you all know that I'm still doing good in here! Still growing lots...I'm about 4 1/2 inches long now without counting my legs. I've been kicking lots lately, and soon I'll be strong enough for Mommy to feel those kicks! That'll be fun. I'll make sure I don't hurt her, but I do want to let her know that I'm in here from time to time. Here's what I look like now...pretty much like a little person, don't you think!

Mommy and I have a doctor appointment next Thursday, so next week I'll be able to give you all an update on how everything is doing. But this week, Mommy and I are going to Orlando for two days. Too bad it's for work and not play, but at least the weather should be good if we get to go outside at all.
