Hi everyone, it’s Baby Boy Bennett writing to you again! I’m now 20 weeks old, and you can see what Mommy looks like at this point. It’s been such a fun week, from finding out that I am a boy to thinking about what my name will be to learning how to move more and more.
First, the biggest news other than finding out that I am a boy is that I am getting much better with my kicks and punches. Mommy has been feeling me constantly now, which is such a relief to her! My little punches and kicks are still pretty weak, but at least they are strong enough that Mommy can definitely tell when it’s me. That’s fun for me. Daddy feels a little left out, because he still can’t feel me, but I’m going to be strong enough to change that soon!
Next, Daddy and Mommy are back at the drawing board trying to pick out a name for me. They had a name ready for a girl, but are clueless about boy names. So, last night, they were going through all sorts of names. The funniest part was when they were looking at names of Hebrew origin. Daddy’s favorite was Gomer Ham. He thought that would be pretty great. Mommy was laughing so hard that she couldn’t breathe, tears were rolling down her face, and her laughs without breath sounded like honking! :) I didn’t think it was as funny as they did…I’m the one who would be stuck with such a name (no offense to all you Gomer Ham’s out there)!!!
Speaking of names, a lot of people have suggestions for Mommy and Daddy. But somehow, the suggestions are usually the same name as the person making the suggestion. Oh well. If any of you want to help, feel free to send all your ideas to Mommy and Daddy (pick good ones for me!). Just don’t be offended if they don’t choose yours…I only want one name. :)
Also, Mommy got Daddy and me a present this week. It was my first pair of sneakers. For now, they are for Daddy, as a reminder that I am coming. But soon, they will be for me and my little feet! Daddy and Mommy have them sitting on the bathroom counter, so they see them every morning. It’s pretty cool. Mommy wants to get me some Converse eventually, but Daddy thinks good ol’ Nike’s are the way to go.
OK, I have to go for now. I love you all and can’t wait to see you. I’m putting the link to what I look like now below. For those of you keeping track, I am now 6 ½ inches long from head to bottom, and 10 inches long overall. I’m already half as long as I will be when I am born!
Love,
Baby Boy
