32 Weeks

Hey everyone! Well, I'm 32 weeks old now (the first picture is of my beautiful mommy), and it's been a much better week! Mommy still had some contractions for the first half of the week, but for the last 2 1/2 days, she's had virtually none. That is a huge answer to prayer, so thanks to all of you for praying! Obviously, Mommy still has to drink lots of water and take it easy so they don't come back and I can stay in here for several more weeks at least, but this is really great news!

The second picture is of Mommy and me with two of my cousins, Amaya and Elise. They came to visit me with Uncle Matt and Aunt Grace. It was a ton of fun. Daddy loved playing with the girls and I think they liked it too, because he's never pretended to be a tiger for so long in his life! We get to see them again tomorrow for a few hours, so that will be great fun.

Speaking of Uncle Matt, I also want to mention my OTHER Uncle Matt, because his feelings were hurt last week when I mentioned this Uncle Matt and not him. So, I don't really have much to say about him, except that he is funny and that I am glad he reads the blog, but in any event, there you have it, I mentioned BOTH Uncle Matts.

The other big event of the week was our second baby class. This one was much better since Mommy wasn't having contractions, and since we didn't have to watch another birthing video. We also heard the encouraging news that after I am born Mommy might be cranky, sweaty, and balding for a few weeks. That was cheery news and just about made Daddy want to leap for joy. For some reason, Daddy felt this was a good time to start cracking jokes to the class. Mommy got the giggles and couldn't stop laughing (not to mention remembering to breathe). The rest of the class just stared at us like we were crazy. I tried to hide, but Mommy's belly is just a bit too conspicuous these days. Anyway, I was embarassed. Daddy wasn't...he thinks he's clever.

OK, on to my growth news. I'm still somewhere around 17 inches long, but getting fatter and fatter. I'm close to four pounds now, and will gain about half a pound every week until I am born. It's all about growing! In another four weeks or so, it will be pretty safe for me to arrive at any time. So I'm doing my best to stay put for at least that long! OK, Daddy says he needs to at least pretend he's working now. Something about earning money to pay for me. I don't know why he says that...I won't charge him anything to take me. Oh well. Can't wait to see you all soon!

31 Weeks and My First Trip to the Hospital

Hi everyone! Well, I have to be honest...it's been a bit of a hard week for Mommy and me. I'm getting a lot bigger in here, and I'm ready to come out, so Mommy's been having some pretty good contractions all week. We had to go to the hospital Saturday night for several hours to get them to stop. It's all because I'm so anxious to come see you all, but I know that I need to wait for at least another 6-8 weeks! So please pray that the contractions stop and that I stay in here for a while longer. THEN I will come see all of you!

OK, now on to more fun stuff. I'm getting so big!!! I'm between 16-17 inches tall now and weigh almost 3 1/2 lbs! I'm also just now starting to get fatter. Most of my growing the rest of the way will just be getting fatter. I will get a little taller, but not too much. You really should click this link to see how big I am now though...it's amazing!

My Uncle Matt (one of them...I have TWO Uncle Matt's), Aunt Grace, and cousins Amaya and Elise got here last night. It is going to be great fun to have them here for a few days, although it will be more fun to see them once I am born. I'll have Daddy put pictures of all of them up next week.

The other big event of the week was the birthing class that Daddy and Mommy took. Daddy thought the video was a bit TOO informative :), but it was still good for all of us to start preparing for the big arrival day!

OK, that's all I have for now. Mommy and I need to get back to taking it easy! It's hard for her to realize that she needs to do it, but Daddy does his best to make her. I'll talk to you next week!

30 Weeks

Hi everyone! It’s been an active week here in Mommy’s tummy! I’ve been crawling all over in here. Mommy doesn’t seem to like it when I move this much, but I can’t help it…there’s not much room and it’s hard to get comfortable. So I’ve been keeping Mommy awake some at night…I’m afraid that might continue after I’m born.

Part of the reason all that moving is uncomfortable for Mommy is that I am getting pretty big now. I’m about 16 inches tall and weight about three pounds! Also, my eyes work now, so I can see around in here. There’s not much to see, though…just some water and a cord. I can’t wait to come see everything that I hear out there on the other side of Mommy’s tummy…especially my funny-sounding Daddy. He keeps calling me Pooker…I sure hope that’s not what they name me! We had another doctor appointment this week, and the doctor said that everything looks good. Since I’m only 10 weeks away from being born, we have to go back for more appointments every two weeks. It’s almost time to come see all of you!!!

I’ll talk to you again next Friday. My cousins, Amaya and Elise, are coming on Thursday, so I’ll have Daddy post pictures of them one of the next two weeks. Love you all!

Florida Vacation at 29 Weeks!

Hey everyone! I'm writing to you from sunny Florida! Sorry I'm having Daddy post a little late today, but we've been busy soaking in the sun. We spent the entire week sleeping in, sitting on the beach and swimming in the pool. This week's picture of Mommy and me has a much better background than our typical front door. I'm also having Daddy post a picture of Mommy and him on the beach, as well as one of Daddy with cousin Bennett (it's not a very good picture, but I wanted you to be able to see my cousin...he's going to be my buddy). Last, there is a picture of the huge sea turtle we saw on the beach! It was pretty neat!

I'm still growing like a weed. I'm now more than 15 inches long and weigh more than 2.5 lbs. My brain is developing a lot these days, so that's pretty important. Please keep it in your prayers. To see a picture of what I look like, click on this link:

We are heading back home tomorrow. It's sad that vacation is over, but it was fun. Mommy and I have a doctor's appointment on Monday, so we'll get to make sure everything is still ok. Only 11 more weeks until I get to meet all of you! I can't wait! And hopefully, I'll have a name soon!
